Location
Nestled in the heart of the pretty Conservation Village of Portnahaven and only a few steps from the mighty Atlantic Ocean, Orsay House, Islay Bed & Breakfast accommodation, is ideal for leisurely weekend or mid week breaks, or spoil yourself and stay longer.
Although we do recommend at least 3 or 4 days on Islay we are proud to feature in the Civil Service Magazine 'Boundless' in a feature called 48 hours on the Isle of Islay.
We generally have a three night minimum stay during peak season, If you cannot spend three nights please contact us as we may be able to make the occasional exception. For longer stays, we offer a free extra night when booking a 6 night stay. Just book your 7 night stay and pay for 6 nights.

A traditional and handsome house, dating back to the mid 1800's, Orsay House maintains the perfect blend of original features with the modern comforts you would expect.
All our rooms are quiet, only occasionally being disturbed by the seals singing or the crashing of the waves. Enjoy our luxurious Super King Room or our comfortable Double and Twin Rooms.
Providing our guests with the perfect stay is our sole objective. It is by listening to our guests that we gain so much valuable insight, and what contributes to Orsay House being such a wonderful place to stay. We don’t do standard, we don’t do average…and we’re always listening to you, our valued guests.
We have free off-road parking and secure storage for Cycles, Motor Bikes and even Kayaks.
